If the color of the candle is darker, then it will burn slower because the darker dye in the candle makes it thicker and harder to burn through. This hypothesis, as tested, was not correct. I reject this hypothesis because the results showed that it appeared to be reversed except for the green and blue candle would be switched. The white candle burned the longest with an average of 859.83 seconds and the green candle had the shortest burning time with an average of 649.967. Some possible errors in the experiment could have been that we didn't start the time right away and that we could have stopped the time before the candle was all the way finished burning. Suggestions that could be made to improve the experiment are make sure you start and stop the time at the right time and make sure you pay more attention to the time. Also space them a little bit better.
